Went to Brazil!

In August, we were given the opportunity to expand our ministry with Anastasis Ballet Company to Brazil. Here is a slideshow from our trip, teaching dance classes to children and teens of City of Children.

City of Children was created in 1985 as an orphanage, but due to changes in recent laws during the pandemic, the orphanage was forced to close. In order to continue to utilize the space, the ministry has created the “Art and Life” program. This program buses in children, feeds them a healthy meal, shares with them a devotional, and teaches them art/sports/life skills, all free of charge. They rely on financial and food donations and do not receive government funding. Currently, City of Children has 130 children and a waiting list! The children are mostly Brazilian but there are a number of Venezuelan refugees as well.
